How fit do I need to be?
Winter tours are a very easy fitness level. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Summer tours a low - medium fitness level is needed.
How much money will I need for my time in Iceland and do I need cash?
For a week in Iceland, you should expect to need around £300 spending money for food and snacks. Everywhere in Iceland accepts card payments. I always withdraw some cash and for my bank the best way is to withdraw the cash from an ATM in Iceland in local currency.
How cold does it get?
In January and February, the average temperature is between -4 degrees Celsius to plus 4 degrees Celsius. It can occasionally be colder. I will send you a full kit list before the tour.
If you do feel cold, you can take the key to the car and put the seat heater on.
What do I need to bring?
Depending on the time of year I will send you an appropriate kit list in plenty of time before your tour but the essentials are a sturdy tripod, wide angle lens such as a 16-35mm and a 24-70mm or equivalent, a 70-200mm if you have the space but the 16-35mm and 24-70mm will be your go to lenses for 98% of your shots.
Of course, warm clothes but I will send you a kit list for that.
And plenty of Jaffa Cakes.
What is the food like and do they cater for vegetarians?
Iceland does cater for vegetarians.
If we are on the move the food at the services is generally good (better than the UK's)
In the towns will be staying near, the food is very good.
The hotel breakfast is continental style.
We will also make regular stops at supermarkets.
Should I have travel insurance?
Yes. You should have your own travel/health insurance.
Do the Icelandic people speak English?
95% speak excellent English. The Icelandic's are amongst the warmest & most friendly people you could wish to meet.
What is the cost & what is included?

My sense of humour and jokes are included and completely free of charge.
